Who We Are
Girl Skate Mag is an independent skate magazine for women and Non Binary People. Created for skaters by skaters.
I’ve yet to come across any that are specifically aimed at women. I love that there are so many females and non-binary people in the skate scene now but they aren’t getting showcased so much.
My aim for the magazine is to help increase communities and safe places to skate in the UK. Enabling sisterhood and reducing anxieties we often have, showcasing inclusivity and ‘good people’.

Our Team
Samantha
Samantha is the heart behind Girl Skate Mag, the one who had the vision, put in the long nights and early mornings, and made it all happen. As founder, writer, and photographer, she wears pretty much every hat going, and wouldn't have it any other way.
With a degree in photography and a genuine love for being around people, you'll likely spot her at events — camera in hand, deep in conversation with whoever she can find. She has a way of making people feel seen, which is exactly why she started the mag in the first place.
She's been skateboarding for 6+ years but will still happily call herself a beginner
Founder
Louisa
Louisa is a lockdown rollerskater, who met founder Sammi in 2020. The girls immediately bonded over their love of fashion and skating and the rest is history!
From media & journalism graduate to experienced writer and editor, she is now a long-time supporter and collaborator of the mag.
Louisa has been a GSM cheerleader since day 1. Often spotted as Sammi’s right-hand-gal at events, Louisa can be usually be found screaming the loudest on the sidelines and having a little boogie on her skates.
