Get ready for Winter Olympics 2026

By Samantha Bache

It’s January 19th, and the countdown is officially on. The 2026 Winter Olympics are almost here, and the energy is next-level. For girls who live for skating on concrete or ice, this is our jam. From icy rinks to snowy slopes, athletes are ready to show off tricks, speed, and style that would make any skate crew proud.

Snowboarding is where courage meets creativity. Halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air events are where women are landing insane spins, grabs, and flips that push the sport forward. Every run is a mix of style, precision, and daring, and it’s proof that girls are dominating the slopes.

Chloe Kim from the USA, the halfpipe queen, goes for a third consecutive gold while coming back from a shoulder injury that challenged her training. Mia Brookes from Great Britain is making her Olympic debut after becoming a world champion and is a top contender in slopestyle and big air. Charlotte Bankes, also from Great Britain, is dominating snowboard cross and recently won a World Cup event, making her one of Team GB’s strongest medal hopes. Kokomo Murase from Japan, fresh off a slopestyle win at the Laax Open 2026, is riding high heading into the Olympics. Ester Ledecká from the Czech Republic, the dual-sport legend, is focusing on snowboarding this year, adding to her incredible legacy.

Ice skating is intense and elegant all at once. From figure skating to ice dance, female skaters bring style, power, and precision to every routine. Leading the charge this year are Team GB's Kristen Spours, aiming for Olympic success on the ice alongside ice dancers Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson, and US skaters Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu, who recently set new records and are poised to impress on the world stage. Nations like Canada and the US are naming full teams packed with a mix of promising young stars and Olympic veterans, all ready to compete for medals in a highly anticipated Winter Games.
